- Be age 12 or older
- You are scheduled for ACL reconstruction (ACLR) with a Henry Ford sports orthopedic surgeon
- This is your first ACL surgery on the injured knee
- Your surgery is not a repeat (revision) ACL operation
- You do not have a known injury to the back knee ligament (PCL) on the same side
