Dietary erythritol trial for blood clot and inflammation health

Who can take part

  • Be able to say your BMI is 27 or higher
  • Do not have a past history of blood clots, stroke/TIA, angina, heart attack, or blocked blood-vessel disease
  • No current cancer diagnosis, and no plans that would interfere with the study
  • Be willing to stop or avoid certain medicines that affect cholesterol, blood pressure, or diabetes during the study if the study team says they could change results
  • Be willing to avoid anti-inflammatory medicines and avoid marijuana during the study
  • Avoid tobacco and any very high-alcohol/sugar-sweetened drinks; also avoid foods/drinks that you’re restricted from for study diet rules
