Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older and can sign consent.
  • You have stage III or IV melanoma that cannot be fully removed by surgery.
  • You can start standard treatment with ipilimumab (3 mg/kg) plus nivolumab (1 mg/kg).
  • You are well enough for treatment (ECOG performance status 0 to 1) and expected to live at least 6 months.
  • You can provide a tumor biopsy (new or stored archived tissue) for study testing.
  • Your blood and organ tests are in a safe range (including white blood cells, platelets, liver tests, and bilirubin).
