Who can take part
- You must be able to sign consent and join the study voluntarily
- You are age 18 to 80, and you have a diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common type of liver cancer
- Your liver cancer is advanced (BCLC stage B or C) and not suitable for curative surgery or local procedures
- You have not had prior “systemic” (whole-body) drug treatment for liver cancer
- Your liver function is good enough (Child-Pugh score 7 or lower) and you have no past liver “brain” complication (hepatic encephalopathy)
- You do not have certain complicating situations (like specific rare liver cancer types, recent other cancers, or certain serious fluid build-ups or blood vessel tumor blockages)
