Who can take part

  • You are between 60 and 99 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with sarcopenia (muscle loss) based on grip strength and muscle mass tests.
  • Your grip strength is less than 27 kg if you are a man, or less than 16 kg if you are a woman.
  • Your muscle mass is low, measured by a special scan (DEXA) of your arms and legs.
  • You do not have serious health problems like recent heart attack, stroke, blood clots, poorly controlled high blood pressure, severe kidney or liver disease, active cancer, or memory loss that would prevent participation.
