HIV treatment interruption study for long-term participants

Who can take part

  • You must have been in a previous study that included a break from HIV meds (ATI).
  • Your HIV was under control (viral load undetectable) for at least 24 weeks after starting the break.
  • You are still off HIV meds and haven't had more than 4 weeks in a row with a viral load over 1000.
  • Your CD4 count (a type of immune cell) is above 350 in the month before joining.
  • You are willing to stay off meds for up to 96 weeks and restart meds if your doctor says it's needed.
  • Women who can get pregnant must use effective birth control and agree to pregnancy testing.
