HIV blood study to study immune responses over many years

Who can take part

  • Be 18 to under 80 years old and have a confirmed HIV-1 diagnosis
  • Be able and willing to sign written consent and have blood drawn for storage
  • Be on HIV treatment with very low viral load for the required time in either the short-term or long-term group
  • You must have had regular viral load checks at least once each year
  • You should not have had AIDS-related opportunistic infections in the past or currently
  • Avoid pregnancy or breastfeeding, and have blood tests (hemoglobin, platelets, neutrophils, liver tests) above safety cutoffs
