Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a prosthetic (replacement) heart valve that was put in at least 3 months ago.
- You have been diagnosed with infective endocarditis (heart valve infection) using standard criteria.
- You received an FDG-PET scan (a special imaging test) within 15 days of starting antibiotics, and it showed high activity at the valve.
- You have not had heart surgery for this infection and are not scheduled for it before the end-of-treatment PET scan.
