Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have a type of head and neck cancer (mouth, throat, voice box) that can be removed with surgery.
  • Your cancer is stage III or IV and you have not had any previous treatment for this cancer.
  • You are generally in good health (able to do daily activities without help), with no serious heart, lung, or liver problems.
  • You do not have an active autoimmune disease or an active infection like hepatitis B, C, or HIV.
