Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- Your cancer is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and is stage III-IVB (or stage II-III if HPV-positive in the oropharynx).
- Your tumor can be removed by surgery and has not spread to distant parts of the body.
- You have good overall health (able to do daily activities) and acceptable blood, kidney, and liver test results.
- You have not had previous cancer treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation) and have not been in another trial in the last 30 days.
