Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have a type of esophageal cancer called squamous cell carcinoma that has not spread to other organs and is stage II to IIIB.
  • You have not had any prior treatment for esophageal cancer.
  • You are in good overall health (able to do daily activities) and your major organs (heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, thyroid) are working well.
  • You are willing to use effective birth control during the study and for 8 weeks after the last dose.
  • You do not have other active cancers, serious infections, or conditions like uncontrolled high blood pressure or diabetes.
