Personalized prostate biopsy study

Prostate Adenocarcinoma

This trial is testing a more personalized way to perform prostate biopsies. It's for men who have a suspicious finding on exam or imaging, or a higher PSA level, and who have had a special MRI that suggests cancer. The goal is to improve accuracy and reduce unnecessary biopsies.

Who can take part

  • You have a suspicious lump found during a rectal exam, or an abnormal finding on an MRI or other imaging test.
  • Your PSA level is above 10 ng/mL, or between 4 and 10 ng/mL with a low free-to-total PSA ratio (less than 0.16).
  • You have had a special MRI (mpMRI) before the biopsy, and the radiologist gave it a score of 3 or higher (suggesting possible cancer).
  • You are willing to fill out a questionnaire and come back for follow-up visits.
  • You or a family member can sign a consent form agreeing to participate.
