Robotic and computer rehab for walking after stroke

This study uses robotic equipment and computer modeling to create a personalized rehabilitation program. Researchers are looking for healthy adults and adults who have had a stroke more than 6 months ago to see if these tools can improve walking.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You can speak and understand English.
  • You weigh 250 pounds or less.
  • Your resting heart rate is between 60 and 100 beats per minute, and your blood pressure is within the allowed range (90/60 to 140/90 for healthy people, or 90/60 to 160/90 for stroke survivors).
  • You either have not had a stroke (Group A) OR you had a single stroke more than 6 months ago and can walk for 15 minutes without help (Group B).
  • You have no serious heart or lung problems, no recent heart surgery or uncontrolled irregular heartbeat, and no major bone or joint problems that limit walking.
