Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have significant heart artery blockage and are scheduled for a procedure (PCI) to open it, plus you'll stay in the hospital overnight.
  • Your doctor can use the artery in your wrist or groin for the procedure.
  • The blocked artery is at least 2.4 mm wide and the blockage is no longer than 32 mm.
  • You are not currently bleeding, have not had a heart attack or unstable condition in the last 24 hours, and are not pregnant or nursing.
