Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old and able to give consent.
- You have coronary artery disease with symptoms (like angina/chest pain) and/or test evidence of reduced blood flow to the heart.
- A heart angiogram shows a single “target” blockage in the left main, LAD, RCA, or LCX artery (or a branch), with specific narrowing and blood-flow findings.
- The blockage is strongly calcified, or you previously tried balloon treatment and it could not be expanded (or both).
- You can and will take a P2Y12 blood thinner (clopidogrel, prasugrel, or ticagrelor) for at least 6 months after the procedure.
