Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 74 years old.
  • You have a thymoma (a tumor in the thymus gland) and your doctor recommends surgery to remove it.
  • The tumor is smaller than 5 cm and has not spread far from the thymus.
  • You are in generally good health (able to do daily activities without help) and have no severe liver, kidney, lung, or blood problems.
  • You have not had any prior treatment for thymoma and have not had chest or heart surgery in the past.
