Psoriasis relapse and gut bacteria study
Treatments studied
Part of Infections, Skin clinical trials.

This study looks at fungi (yeasts) on the skin and in the gut to understand how they might trigger or worsen psoriasis. It involves people with psoriasis, people having plastic surgery, and household members of those with psoriasis.
This study looks at what’s happening inside the body in people with plaque psoriasis who start certain biologic medicines that target the IL-23/IL-17 immune pathway. It may help explain why these treatments work and what body changes are linked to response.
This study looks at the skin’s germs (“microbiome”) in people with atopic dermatitis (eczema) or psoriasis. It may help researchers better understand what’s going on on the skin and how that might relate to disease severity.
This study looks at how blood sugar control (including diabetes) changes immune cells in the skin for people with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. It may help researchers understand what drives psoriasis and how it could respond to future treatments.
This study looks at how inflammation-related genes behave in people with psoriasis. It may help researchers understand why psoriasis flares and how it could be better treated.
This study tests whether adding a Mediterranean diet to your psoriasis treatment can improve your skin. You will be asked to follow a heart-healthy diet for several months while taking a new biologic medicine.
