- You must be 40 years or older.
- You had a colon polyp removed that contained cancer, and the edges of the removed tissue showed possible remaining cancer cells.
- The cancer is located in the colon, at least 12 cm away from the anus.
- Your doctors must agree that you are healthy enough to have colon surgery if needed.
- You must not have high-risk tumor features like poor cell differentiation or tumor invasion into lymph vessels.
