Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a large (≥20 mm) flat polyp called a laterally spreading tumor, granular type (LST-G) in the colon or rectum.
- Your doctor plans to remove the polyp using a scope (endoscopic resection).
- You are expected to live more than 10 more years (your doctor can estimate this).
- You do not have a different type of polyp (LST-NG), or one with depressed areas, or a certain high-risk pattern (Kudo Vi or Vn).
- You do not have inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's or ulcerative colitis) or a hereditary polyp syndrome (like FAP or Lynch).
