Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with a type of cancer (like carcinoma, myeloma, or lymphoma) that has spread to the pelvic bone area around the hip socket.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are healthy enough to have general anesthesia (medication to make you sleep during surgery).
  • You can understand and agree to be in the study by signing a consent form.
  • You are willing to fill out surveys about how well you are functioning before and after surgery.
  • Your blood counts (neutrophils and platelets) are at safe levels.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You have not had a serious allergic reaction to dental resins or PET scan materials.
