- You are 21 years old or older.
- You have used kratom more than 5 times a week for at least 3 months.
- You can speak and understand English.
- You are willing to give a sample of your kratom in its unopened, labeled package.
- You have not had a bad reaction to a normal dose of kratom in the last month or ever needed medical help for it.
- You only swallow your kratom (do not smoke or inject it).
- You do not have a substance problem with alcohol, sedatives, or opioids, and have not used fentanyl in the last month.
- You do not have a current or past psychotic disorder, or untreated severe depression or bipolar disorder.
- You are not pregnant or nursing, and have no other health issues that make the study risky.
