This trial is for women age 45 and older with early ER-positive breast cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes under the arm. It tests a surgery approach where the main tumor and only a few key lymph nodes (rather than many) are removed.

Who can take part
- You are a woman age 45 or older.
- You have early-stage breast cancer (T1–T2) that is ER-positive (estrogen receptor positive) and has not spread to distant parts of the body.
- Cancer was found in your armpit lymph nodes through a needle biopsy guided by ultrasound.
- Your doctor could not feel any swollen lymph nodes in your armpit during a physical exam.
- On pre-surgery imaging, no more than 2 suspicious lymph nodes were seen in your armpit.
- The lymph node biopsy sample shows no cancer spreading outside the node (extranodal extension) that is larger than 3 mm.
