Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis for at least 3 months.
- Your colitis is moderate to severe, based on a scoring system that includes a colonoscopy.
- Your colitis extends at least 15 cm up from the rectum.
- You have tried and failed at least one anti-TNF drug (like infliximab or adalimumab) but no more than two.
- You are not currently taking certain other immune-suppressing medicines like azathioprine or methotrexate.
- You do not have active infections like tuberculosis, hepatitis B or C, or C. diff.
