Who can take part
- You are scheduled for any type of endoscopy (like a colonoscopy or upper GI scope).
- You have no known or suspected advanced liver scarring.
- You agree to take part in the study.
- You do not drink more than about 1-2 alcoholic drinks per day (or 2-3 for men) on a regular basis.
- You do not have a liver tumor or other growth seen on ultrasound.
- You are not pregnant, nursing, or at high risk for bleeding or complications from procedures.
