Screening for pancreatic cancer in high-risk people

Pancreatic CancerPancreatic Ductal AdenocarcinomaPDACPDAC - Pancreatic Ductal AdenocarcinomaPancreatic Neoplasm

Part of Cancer, Digestive system, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This trial uses MRI and endoscopic ultrasound to look for early signs of pancreatic cancer in people who have a high risk due to their genes or family history. Finding it early may lead to better treatment options.

  • OR have a strong family history of pancreatic cancer (for example, two or more close relatives on the same side of the family).
  • OR have a gene change in PRSS1 that causes hereditary pancreatitis, and be over age 40 (or 20 years after pancreatitis started).

NCT02478892Recruiting
Screening study for pancreatic cancer in inherited gene risk

This trial tests ways to screen people who have a family-passed (inherited) gene mutation linked to higher pancreatic cancer risk. The goal is to find pancreatic cancer earlier and improve how screening is done for people at increased risk.

NCT04743479Recruiting
AI screening for pancreatic cancer in higher-risk people

This trial uses an artificial-intelligence tool to help detect pancreatic cancer earlier and track people at higher risk. You may be asked to complete questionnaires and have imaging tests like MRI or CT to see how well the approach works.

Pancreatic cancer risk and early-detection registry study

This study builds a database of people at higher risk for pancreatic cancer (or certain early warning findings) to help find better ways to detect the disease early. You may be asked to complete health questionnaires and possibly donate a blood/saliva/swab sample.

Screening for pancreatic cancer in people with new diabetes

This study screens people with recent diabetes who are at high risk for pancreatic cancer. It uses a CT scan to find cancer early, when it may be easier to treat.

Vaccine trial for people at high risk of pancreatic cancer

This early-phase trial studies a long-peptide vaccine designed for people with certain genetic changes that raise the risk of pancreatic cancer. The goal is to help your immune system recognize and respond to cancer-related changes before cancer develops.
