Who can take part
- You have non-traumatic osteonecrosis (bone death) in the hip's ball joint
- Your osteonecrosis is at an early stage (stage 1 or 2) without a fracture under the cartilage
- You do not have sickle cell disease, Gaucher disease, or certain other conditions
- You have not had major hip surgery before (minor arthroscopy is okay)
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or a vulnerable adult
- You can have an MRI and are willing to follow up after treatment
