Who can take part

  • You had or still have back or leg pain (or trouble walking) but no muscle weakness in your legs.
  • Your surgery fused between 1 and 3 vertebrae in your lower back because of wear-and-tear (degenerative) changes.
  • You were able to return home after surgery (not a nursing home or rehab facility).
  • You didn't have any serious problems after surgery that kept you in the hospital longer.
  • You are over 18 and not pregnant or breastfeeding.
