Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old and your bones have stopped growing.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 40, and you weigh 245 pounds or less without your prosthesis.
  • You have one or both legs amputated above the knee, but no bone or blood vessel disease.
  • You have trouble with your current prosthetic leg or cannot use one at all.
  • You are willing to follow the study schedule, including a rehab program after surgery.
