This trial tests a special heart scan (18F-MFBG) to see if it can help doctors better manage heart failure. You may qualify if you have chronic heart failure with a weak heart pump and are planning to get a defibrillator.

Who can take part
- You have chronic heart failure with a weakened heart pump (LVEF 40% or less).
- Your heart failure symptoms are moderate (NYHA class II or III) and your doctor expects you to live more than 1 year.
- You are scheduled to get a defibrillator (ICD) in about 5-10 days.
- You do not already have a defibrillator or pacemaker, and you have not had a heart transplant.
- You have no active cancer, severe heart valve disease, or had a heart attack in the last 3 months.
- You are willing to participate and sign a consent form.
