Traction vs. No traction for colon polyp removal

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for an ESD procedure to remove a colon polyp.
  • Your polyp is one of these types: a polyp with a scar from a past removal (any size), a large flat polyp over 3 cm, a non-granular flat polyp over 20 mm, or a polyp that looks like it might be growing deeper into the colon wall.
  • You are not pregnant or able to get pregnant.
  • The polyp is not a stalk-like (pedunculated) type.
  • The polyp is not located at the appendix opening or the valve between the small and large intestine.
