Who can take part

  • You are 19 years old or older.
  • You received a solid organ transplant (like kidney, liver, heart, or lung) at least one year ago.
  • Your anti-rejection medication has been stable (no major changes) for the past 6 months.
  • You are willing to use effective birth control if you could become pregnant, until 2 months after the last vaccine dose.
  • You have not had shingles, chickenpox, or the shingles vaccine in the past year.
  • You are not currently being treated for transplant rejection with high-dose steroids or other strong medicines.
