Who can take part

  • You must have acute kidney injury (sudden kidney damage).
  • You must not have a history of chronic kidney disease (long-term kidney problems).
  • You must not have any condition that increases activin A levels, such as heart failure, cancer, COPD (chronic lung disease), systemic sclerosis (a rare connective tissue disease), or be pregnant.
  • You must not have certain viral infections, Mycosis Fungoides or Sézary Syndrome (rare skin lymphomas).
