Who can take part

  • You have been told you have a blood clot in the left ventricle of your heart, confirmed by an ultrasound.
  • You are 18 years or older and agree to take part in the study.
  • You do not have a history of not following treatment plans or refusing study participation.
  • You are not allergic to blood thinners and do not have a condition that makes them unsafe.
  • You have not had or are not planning certain heart surgeries, like removing the clot or getting a transplant.
  • You do not have other reasons for long-term blood thinning, like a mechanical heart valve or irregular heartbeat.
