Who can take part
- You are older than 18 and were recently hospitalized for an acute STEMI heart attack
- A cardiac MRI confirmed a clot in the left heart chamber (LV thrombus)
- You are not currently having active bleeding, and you have not had certain serious bleeding problems in the past year
- Your blood counts and liver function meet safety limits (including not being severely anemic or having severe liver disease)
- You are not already taking blood-thinning medicines, and you don’t have major bleeding risk factors
- You can take the study blood thinner (no known allergy to rivaroxaban), and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding
