Who can take part

  • You must have melasma (chloasma) on your face, diagnosed by a doctor.
  • You should not have other skin conditions that cause dark patches, like post-inflammatory pigmentation or certain birthmarks.
  • You must agree not to use other cosmetic treatments for melasma during the study.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must not have taken oral contraceptives or hormone therapy in the past year.
  • You cannot have serious allergies, scar-prone skin, or active skin infections.
