Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a type of thyroid cancer that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery, and it is either differentiated thyroid cancer that no longer responds to radioactive iodine, or anaplastic thyroid cancer.
  • For differentiated thyroid cancer: you have been treated with at least one of these drugs (sorafenib, lenvatinib, or cabozantinib) and no more than 3 total treatments. For anaplastic thyroid cancer: you can be starting treatment for the first time or have had only one prior treatment.
  • You have a tumor sample available (or can get a new biopsy) for research.
  • Your cancer has not spread to the brain.
  • You are generally healthy enough to do normal daily activities (ECOG 0 or 1) and have adequate kidney, liver, and blood cell counts.
  • You agree to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
  • You are not currently taking certain other cancer treatments, and do not have a history of serious heart, lung, or bowel disease.
