Who can take part
- You received your first-ever kidney transplant from a living donor, a brain-dead donor, or a controlled donation-after-circulatory-death donor.
- Your blood type (ABO) is compatible with the donor's blood type.
- One year after transplant, your immune system didn't show signs of attacking the kidney (low cPRA, no DSA, and ≤14 eplet mismatches).
- A year after transplant, a kidney biopsy showed it's healthy or has only mild scarring (IFTA 1-2).
- You're taking tacrolimus (Prograf® or Advagraf®) plus mycophenolate, and possibly a steroid.
