Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old and have received your first liver transplant only.
  • Your kidney function must be at least 30 ml/min (a blood test will check this).
  • You must be currently taking tacrolimus (with or without other immune medicines).
  • You need to have had vaccines for chickenpox, measles, hepatitis B, pneumonia, flu, shingles, and COVID-19 (or have immunity).
  • You must not have certain liver diseases (like autoimmune hepatitis) or other conditions that prevent reducing immune medicines.
  • You cannot have had severe rejection episodes after your transplant.
