Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with chronic-phase chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) within the last year.
- You have had little or no prior treatment for CML: either no TKI (targeted therapy) or a TKI for less than 30 days. Taking hydroxyurea or up to 2 doses of cytarabine is okay.
- You are able to care for yourself (ECOG score 0–2).
- Your liver and kidney function are within acceptable limits (your doctor will check these).
