Study of immune cells in graft-versus-host disease after stem cell transplant
Part of Immune system & allergy, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This study looks at immune cells in tissues affected by chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD), a common complication after a stem cell transplant. It aims to better understand the condition, which may lead to better treatments.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You are over 18 years old.
- You have had a stem cell transplant using cells from a donor.
- You have chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD), either for the first time or after a donor lymphocyte infusion.
- If this is your first cGVHD, you have not started any new treatments for it.
- If your cGVHD has come back, you are on a low dose of steroids (15 mg or less of prednisone per day).
- You agree to take part in the study and understand what it involves.

This study looks for proteins or markers in your blood that could help predict a condition called chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD), a common complication after a stem cell transplant from a donor. By joining, you may help doctors detect and treat this condition earlier.
This study looks at immune cells in your blood and in tissues affected by chronic graft-versus-host disease (a condition where donor cells attack your body) after a stem cell transplant. By analyzing samples, researchers hope to better understand this condition and improve future treatments.
This study looks at special immune cells in the body that may be involved in graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a complication after a stem cell transplant. The goal is to better understand these cells to improve future treatments for GVHD.
This study follows patients who have had a stem cell transplant and developed chronic graft-versus-host disease (a condition where transplanted cells attack the body). Researchers will track your symptoms and collect blood samples to understand what affects how well patients do over time.
This observational study follows people who had a stem cell transplant a few months ago to better understand risk for chronic graft-versus-host disease. You won’t get a study treatment; instead, you’ll complete questionnaires over time, and the study team looks at your symptoms and experiences.
This trial tests whether injecting special immune cells (Treg cells) from your transplant donor, along with a protein called IL-2, can help control chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) that hasn't responded well to steroids. It is for people who have had a stem cell transplant and still have moderate to severe cGVHD.
