This trial tests whether a daily dose of atorvastatin (a common cholesterol medicine) can prevent migraine attacks in people with episodic migraine. You would keep a headache diary and be randomly assigned to take atorvastatin or a placebo for about 3 months.

Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with migraine (with or without aura) and have had migraines for at least one year.
- You currently have 4 to 14 migraine attacks per month (on average over the last 3 months).
- You are not taking any other migraine prevention medicines, and you are able to avoid them during the study.
- You have never taken a statin medication (like atorvastatin) before.
- You are not pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, and you use effective birth control if needed.
