This trial tests whether giving a slightly different schedule of radiation (more frequent, smaller doses) can improve treatment for people with large head and neck cancers. It is for patients who are getting radiation as their main treatment, sometimes with chemotherapy as well.

Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a new, untreated head and neck cancer (oropharynx, hypopharynx, larynx, or oral cavity) that has not spread to other parts of the body, and your doctor plans to treat it with radiation (with or without chemo) to try to cure it.
- Your tumor must be large enough: for p16-positive oropharynx cancers, at least the size of a walnut; for others, at least the size of a large walnut.
- You have not had any prior radiation to the head or neck, and you have no other active cancers (except certain minor skin cancers or cancers that have been cured for at least 3 years).
- You are in generally good health (able to walk and care for yourself with little help) and can understand the treatment plan to give your consent.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you have no serious medical condition that would limit your life expectancy to less than 3 years.
