Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You have ovarian cancer (including fallopian tube or primary peritoneal), or cervical cancer that is either newly diagnosed or has returned/spread.
- You are scheduled to receive 3 to 6 cycles of chemotherapy with paclitaxel and carboplatin or cisplatin (with or without bevacizumab).
- You have at least one factor that raises your risk of developing a fever from low white blood cells (like being over 65 on full-dose chemo, having had chemo or radiation before, or having poor nutrition).
- Your blood counts (especially white cells, hemoglobin, and platelets) are at a safe level before starting the study.
