This research study looks at how certain brain waves (called theta oscillations) help you focus and prioritize information. If you have epilepsy that hasn't been controlled with medicines and you already have brain electrodes in place for your epilepsy monitoring, you may be able to join this study to help scientists understand the role of these brain signals.

Who can take part
- You have epilepsy that hasn't improved with standard medications.
- You are able to understand and agree to the study by signing a consent form.
- You speak and understand English.
- For the stimulation part of the study, you must have electrodes already placed in specific areas of your brain.
- You do not have other serious brain conditions (like a recent stroke, brain bleed, or brain tumor), major body illnesses, severe memory or thinking problems, severe mental health conditions, or a history of heavy alcohol/drug use.
