Who can take part

  • You have high myopia (nearsightedness) with an eye length of 26 mm or more.
  • You have a moderate to advanced age-related cataract that needs surgery.
  • You are 20 years old or older.
  • You have not had previous vitrectomy surgery in the eye being studied.
  • You have not had previous laser eye surgery (like LASIK) in the eye being studied.
  • Your eye does not have other serious eye diseases that could make surgery more complicated.
