This study will track how your pupil size changes over time after cataract surgery. It is for people with high myopia (severe nearsightedness) who are getting standard lens implants in both eyes.

Who can take part

  • You have high myopia (nearsightedness of -6.00 diopters or more) in both eyes.
  • You have cataracts in both eyes.
  • You are scheduled for cataract surgery in both eyes at the study hospital, with a standard (monofocal) lens implant.
  • You do not have any other serious eye conditions like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, or macular degeneration.
  • You have not had complications from previous eye surgery or a history of eye injury.
