The goal is to learn more about these infections and improve care. You may be able to join if you have a cough, sore throat, or other symptoms that suggest a respiratory infection, and you go to a participating clinic.

Who can take part
- You have symptoms like a new or worse cough (less than 28 days), and/or sore throat or runny nose (less than 14 days).
- Your symptoms could also be from COVID-19, the flu, or RSV.
- For one specific part of the study, you must be 60 or older, or be 50–59 with a condition that makes you eligible for the flu vaccine (like asthma, diabetes, or heart disease).
- You must be willing and able to give informed consent (or a legal guardian can do it for you). For one part, you also must agree to a nasal or throat swab.
- If you need to be hospitalized, you can still join one part of the study if you get a swab taken before admission, but you may not be able to continue with follow-up.
- You are not eligible if you have symptoms that are clearly not from an infection (like allergies) or if you cannot follow study instructions due to language or health reasons.
