Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with breast cancer that is both ER-positive and HER2-positive (IHC 3+ or FISH positive).
- Your breast cancer has spread to other parts of the body or is advanced, and you have already tried trastuzumab (Herceptin) or a similar drug, and it didn't work or you couldn't take it.
- You are postmenopausal (or premenopausal and willing to have ovarian suppression).
- You are able to swallow pills and do not have serious digestive problems.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a CT or MRI scan.
- You are generally active (ECOG score 0 or 1) and expected to live more than 3 months.
