Who can take part

  • You are a woman between 18 and 75 years old who has been newly diagnosed with breast cancer.
  • Your breast cancer must test positive for HER2 and have at least 10% ER (estrogen receptor) positive cells.
  • The tumor must be larger than 2 cm or have spread to lymph nodes, but not to distant parts of the body (stage IV).
  • You must have good organ function, including normal blood counts, liver and kidney tests, and a heart pump reading (LVEF) of 55% or higher.
  • You cannot have had other cancer treatments or major surgery in the past 4 weeks, and must not be pregnant or nursing.
