Can exercise change the brain's addiction pathways?

Who can take part

  • You binge drink at least once a month (5 or more drinks for men, 4 or more for women within about 2 hours).
  • You currently do less than 150 minutes of physical activity per week.
  • No major medical conditions, brain injuries, or mental health disorders.
  • No close family history of alcoholism or drug abuse.
  • No use of sedatives or other psychoactive drugs in the past month.
  • No MRI contraindications (like metal implants) and no illegal drug use.
  • You haven't been in a regular exercise program in the past year.
